What the status on a relationship means
- Pending — one person has proposed the relationship and the other has not yet confirmed it. It is visible, but never counted as verified.
- Confirmed — the people the relationship names have agreed to it.
- Disputed — a relative has formally disagreed. Both accounts are preserved while it is reviewed.
A confirmed relationship records that the parties agree. It is not a legal proof of descent and should not be relied on for inheritance, citizenship or entitlement claims.
